3.1 Double Fisherman’s Knot
Using Rope A, tie a double overhand knot around Rope B.

Using Rope B, tie a double overhand knot around Rope A, but wrap in the opposite direction (e.g., counterclockwise if the first was clockwise).

Tighten both knots.
Uses:
- Joining two ropes.
- Joining the two ends of a single rope to form a loop.
3.2 Water Knot (Tape Knot, Flat Webbing Knot)
Tie an overhand knot with one end of the webbing.

Thread the end of the second piece of webbing (or the other end of the same webbing) back through the path of the first overhand knot, following its exact course.


Tighten the knot.


Uses:
- Joining two pieces of webbing.
- Joining the two ends of a single piece of webbing to form a loop (webbing sling).
